Visit

Come and visit us any time the church is open (see opening hours above).  Everyone is welcome and there will usually be someone present. The church is accessible to wheelchair users.

Worship

Our principal Sunday morning service, in traditional BCP language, is complemented by a number of evening and midweek services in varying styles. Click here to find out more.

Pray

You can find a quiet space to pray, or you can light a candle in someone’s memory.  If you need our prayers be sure to let us know.  There is a box where you can leave requests for special prayers for yourself, those you love, or for the world we live in.

Join in praying for others and for our world and all that besets it. There is a regular group of ‘pray-ers’.  Nurture the contemplative, the restorative, the  inquiring, the searching, those who seek comfort and care.

Sing

St Clement’s is home to an excellent volunteer choir which supports our worship, as well as a resident orchestra. We also host a popular weekly recital series during term time. Click here to find out more.

Serve

Join the dedicated team of servers, who enable the worship to be conducted in the ‘beauty of holiness’. We always need people to serve as crucifers, thurifers, acolytes, readers, to name but a few. Contact us if you’d like to help.

Ring

Chat

If you want to meet friendly people or just find a sympathetic listener then come on in. There are opportunities for a chat after any of our services or when the church is open, usually with the offer of a cup of tea or coffee.

A priest will usually be present for you to talk to if needed.

Learn

Rest

If you need a quiet place to escape from the cares of the world, or just to get out of the rain St Clement’s is the place for you. We try to keep it warm too!

Volunteer

From greeting visitors to polishing the candlesticks, and from preparing for services to weeding the churchyard, there are many ways in which volunteers can make a contribution. Let us know if you would like to help!

Listen

Come to our free lunchtime recitals to hear a variety of mainly local musicians, with a varied classical repertoire. There are several series each year, on Saturdays at 1pm. Click here for more details.

Receive

You can receive, and perhaps contribute to, ‘Dearly Beloved’, an email letter that has been sent out every day since the early days of the Covid lockdown. It recently passed its 1000th edition.
